2017-2018: Career Opportunities Seminar Series

Overview:

The goal of the Career Opportunities Seminar Series is to empower graduate students, particularly those working in polymeric research, with knowledge of various career pathways available upon completion of their degrees. Many students feel that academia is the only route available to them or are concerned that they won’t obtain a fulfilling career outside of academia. This workshop will address these concerns and instill students with the confidence in choosing their career path following graduation. The Career Opportunities Workshop will be comprised of a series of seminars featuring a combination of professionals in industry, government and academia; professional development activities; and a culminating activity. These seminars will help provide a foundation for students that are in the process of identifying their ideal careers following graduation.
